Powerful video asks to "stop the spread" (of racism and xenophobia)

Gotta be honest. Not particularly motivated to armchair QB brand marketing these last few weeks. Hence, it’s been a bit silent here. My thoughts are with all those who are sick, threatened or compromised…and my gratitude to all those working tirelessly to treat and assist them.

I’ll largely pause from breaking down the latest product spots from fast food restaurants, apparel makers or other retailers. Instead, the next few weeks (months?) will be about sharing any noteworthy efforts that I believe are doing something good — from spreading a necessary message to taking a noteworthy stand.

Along those lines, there was an effort a few weeks back from Canadian agency The Hive and their client the Chinese Canadian National Council for Social Justice. It likely went largely unnoticed. However, it communicated an idea that remains incredibly relevant and topical. And, unfortunately, it’s one that will need to be increasingly and incessantly told. The American President is doing nothing to help the situation but, rather, the opposite.

Creativity for the greater good. Strong work. Critical message. Here’s to brighter times ahead and further enlightenment where it’s needed most.
