Nexflix and Chill'd: Ben & Jerry's launches new made-to-binge flavor

File this to the “why did this take so long” category. Smart and savvy on so many levels.

Introducing “Netflix & Chill’d,” brought to life by the always-PR-friendly folks at Ben & Jerry’s. It’s arrival a few days ago even came with a cinema-worthy trailer giving some cameos and visual shout-outs to runaway Netflix Original hits from yesteryear.

What can you say? An idea time, partnership and PR opportunity that likely seemed just too good to pass up. Connects to culture, represents the right type of “usage occasion” and provides a chance for both brands to extend towards perhaps slightly different/newish audiences in a novel way. Not all brands, though, have the follow-through to make such “obvious” ideas happen. These two brands have the track record to do so, and this collaboration is another proof point.


The additional “Netflix Original Flavor” branding embossed around the carton lid gives you the idea that this might not be the last of its kind. Bring it on. This is among the sweeter recent unions we’ve seen.
